About Me

J. Harvigsson

My interest in photography emerged during my teenage years. In the analog era, advanced cameras felt a bit overwhelming, so I stuck to a compact Fuji camera for a long time. However, with the advancement of technology in the early 2000s, I embraced the digital world.

My first advanced camera was an Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom, which opened up new possibilities and served as a bridge between compact cameras and DSLRs. In 2008, Since the fall of 2018, I have worked exclusively with a full-frame camera—equipment that offers me greater creative freedom and the ability to realize my vision.

Over the years, my photography has evolved, but today I primarily focus on abandoned places and nature, with occasional explorations of other environments. My style is a creative mix of color and black-and-white, ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) or double exposures. Post-processing plays a crucial role in my workflow, and I often use Photoshop to fine-tune my images or create photomontages that enhance the story I aim to convey.

For me, photography is about exploring and creating art—capturing moments that evoke emotions, curiosity, and fresh perspectives.
